I didn't mean to sound quite so dismissive (although I am dismissive of the ET hypothesis). It's just that the way the media reported the story, one would think that Mitchell had never said this stuff--or indeed anything off-beat--before.

I don't think conducting ESP experiments disqualifies somebody from being taken seriously. Remote healing... what's the scientific explanation? That is "just happened"? Why is his explanation so discrediting?

The fact that he doesn't have evidence is a problem. But he's also more qualified than most to talk without evidence. I can understand not believing him, but I just can't understand *dismissing* him.
